It is a great pleasure for us to invite you to participate in the 14th Annual Meeting of the Society for Research on Nicotine and Tobacco (SRNT) Europe which will be held in Helsinki, Finland on August 30 – September 2, 2012.

Helsinki, the capital of Finland is located by the Baltic Sea and was founded in 1550 by King Gustav I of Sweden. Remarkable sites in Helsinki contain the Helsinki Cathedral, Temppeliaukio Church, Suomenlinna Sea Fortress as well as several buildings by the world renowned architect Alvar Aalto. In 2012 Helsinki is the World Design Capital.

The conference venue is the Main Building of the University of Helsinki, located in the very heart of the downtown, next to the Senate Square. We are confident that with your support, the scientific quality of the meeting will be outstanding. Please, disseminate this announcement among your junior colleagues and encourage them to attend the conference with a scientific contribution (see also travel grants).

Important Message About Tobacco Industry!

Tobacco industry employees cannot become SRNT members and cannot participate at SRNT-E meetings. During the 2012 SRNT-E meeting in Helsinki research supported by tobacco industry will not be accepted in the scientific programme.
